Kazakhstan to Present Its National Pavilion
For the first time in 40 years, Kazakhstan will present a national pavilion at one of the world’s largest international education exhibitions—the Bett Show. The event will take place from January 22 to 24, 2025, in London, UK.
What is the Bett Show?
The Bett Show (British Education Training and Technology Show) is a leading global event in the field of education. Cooperation and New Programmes

‘Study in Kazakhstan’ Project
Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek will present the ‘Study in Kazakhstan’ project, aimed at reinforcing the country’s position as a regional academic hub. The establishment of campuses by leading British universities, such as Coventry University Kazakhstan, is expanding academic opportunities, enhancing the quality of education, and promoting the internationalization of higher education institutions.
“This is the first time Kazakhstan is participating in one of the world’s largest educational exhibitions, the Bett Show, with a national pavilion. It provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our country’s development as a regional academic hub. Today, about 30,000 foreign students study in Kazakhstan, and new educational programs are being implemented in collaboration with leading international universities. These achievements demonstrate the international recognition of Kazakhstan’s education system and its openness to the world,” said Sayasat Nurbek in his speech.
Pavilion Participants
The National Pavilion will feature six leading universities from Kazakhstan, along with branches of Coventry University Kazakhstan and Heriot-Watt University. The participants include:
- L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University
- Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
- Nazarbayev University
- East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev
- Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev
- Atyrau Oil and Gas University named after Safi Utebayev
Additionally, Coventry University Kazakhstan, Heriot-Watt University in Kazakhstan, and JSC ‘Center for International Programs’ will participate, highlighting Kazakhstan’s active engagement in international educational dialogue.
Key Objectives of Participation
A primary objective of Kazakhstan’s participation will be to sign agreements with leading UK universities. These agreements will create new opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation, the adoption of modern digital tools, and the development of educational content.

World’s largest hotel franchising company set records by awarding 286 contracts and opening 220 new hotels across Asia-Pacific, representing 9% Y-O-Y net room growth

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company with 25 brands and approximately 9,300 hotels, continued robust growth across Asia Pacific, unveiling today the region’s full-year results for 2024. Among the highlights: the Company awarded 286 contracts, opened 220 new hotels and registered 9% Y-O-Y net room growth, equivalent to approximately 19,000 rooms.
In 2024, the global travel market experienced a strong recovery, with the Asia-Pacific region becoming a key driver with a significant increase in market passenger traffic. Within the region, China effectively boosted the rapid recovery of the inbound tourism market by relaxing and help optimizing entry visa policies, injecting new vitality into the entire Asia-Pacific region. As of year-end 2024, Wyndham has over 1,870 open hotels across Asia Pacific. Wyndham’s commitment to growth in the region was further emphasized last month by a visit from Geoff Ballotti, President and CEO, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
During 17- 21 February 2025, Geoff visited four influential cities in the Asia-Pacific region—Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, and Singapore—where he participated in more than 20 project signing ceremonies and engaged in meetings with over 100 hotel owners from across the region.
